I.G.S.M.A. CONTEST

















On SATURDAY, MARCH 13th, the M.M.S. Symphonic Band will be participating in the Illinois Grade School Music Association (I.G.S.M.A.) Band Contest.  This event is mandatory for all band students, and will count towards their band grade.  As the contest gets closer, it is extremely important that everyone is attending STAR rehearsals and their lessons.

The band members will arrive at MMS at 12:00 pm and meet in the band room wearing their complete M.M.S. uniform (blue jacket and black pants), with a white shirt and black bow tie.
BLACK SHOES AND BLACK SOCKS ARE REQUIRED!

SCHEDULE

12:00 pm – Arrive MMS
12:30 pm – Load buses
1:00 pm – Arrive Clarendon Hills MS
1:30 pm – Warm-Up
1:55 pm – Leave Warm-Up
2:00 pm –  PERFORM!
2:30 pm – Leave Stage
2:45 pm – Load buses
3:15 pm – Arrive MMS









For the parents who will be attending the event, we can really use your help as chaperones!  We need adults to watch the homeroom, help with the set-up, etc.  See map below with directions:







1.    Take North Avenue west until Route 83.
2.    Turn left (south) and follow Route 83 to Ogden Ave (Route 34).
3.    Turn right (west) onto Ogden Ave. until Oxford Ave.
4.    Turn left (south) onto Oxford Ave. until Chicago Ave.
5.    Turn left (east) onto Chicago Ave. until Clarendon Hills Middle School.
